Bluehost Refund Policy
Most web hosting companies do have money back guarantee as one of their marketing tool. They encourage potential customers to try out their hosting service and if there are any unsatisfactory, file an account cancellation and you will get back your money. However every company has different refund policy that you need to understand otherwise you will fail to get your refund if it happens to against their policy.
Here is the refund policy of Bluehost web hosting:-
|
Bluehost web hosting has a 30 days money back guarantee. After you have subscribed to the web hosting and by any mean you are not satisfied with the service, you can cancel the hosting account and get refund. It is worth noting that the 30 days is calendar days but not working days.
Their refund policy works this way:-
- Bluehost only refund the hosting fee. Any money spent to purchase domain name and SSL certificates will not be available for refund.
- In the case where your subscription is within 30 days, you get full refund. Bluehost will refund all the money that you have spent for web hosting registration.
- While in the case where your subscription passes 30 calendar days, it will be sorry that there will not be a full refund. However Bluehost will give you a pro-rated refund. Pro-rated is calculated based on monthly. For example if you have paid 12 months subscription fee and you decided to quit Bluehost after spending 2 months and 29 days, you will get a 10 months refund.
- For your information, Bluehost web hosting does come with one free domain name. The free domain name is associated with the web hosting. So when you decide to cancel the account, the free domain name ownership will be an issue. According to Term of Service of Bluehost hosting, it could be fully retained with a payment of $10 per domain.
- All cancellation and refund requests shall be directed filed via email sent to billing@bluehost.com.
I guess the elaboration above is clear enough for you to justify the Bluehost refund. Do contact Bluehost and their Live Chat for a quick session if you have anything unsure. To me I think their refund policy is fair. They charge on what you use and they refund the maximum rate.
